While the arguments, discussions and fora on being a traveler versus being a tourist go on, I continue to embrace my trips and adventures without prejudice, and with full acceptance of being a traveler and a tourist myself. And why not? Aren’t we all are a tourist? What’s wrong with being a tourist?

I honestly enjoy taking self-portraits using a timer and a tripod, taking photos with locals, or asking fellow tourist to take my photo; I like taking selfies with or without selfie sticks; I also love wearing traditional attires whenever I go to a new place. It’s fun! It makes traveling and every moment more fun!

The globe is very big and life is so short to waste time on debates on what you should be – a traveler or a tourist. Our lives will be absolutely better if we develop aversion towards dictating others on how to roam, wander and explore their preferred and chosen destinations. Our hearts will be free from unconscious burdens if we opt to become more productive rather than spending time on becoming critics on how others would want to take their trips. Can’t we simply take journeys that would make us happier and better citizens of the world?

While we all try to learn new cultures, languages, traditions, lifestyles and cuisines from places that interest and fascinate us, go ahead – take multiple selfies and self-portraits for fun, souvenir and posterity! What matters most is you enjoy traveling and make life worth living.

Having said so, it would be my first time to share all my favourite selfies, self-portraits and back shots that I took from 36 countries in 5 continents that I’ve been to. I hope the photos could express how I enjoyed every minute of every moment per city in each country that I visited.

I don’t pay attention to people anymore when it comes to the debate over traveler vs tourist. For me every traveler is a tourist, and every tourist travels.
