With a handful of Rotana Hotels in United Arab Emirates that I have experienced to date, I could highly recommend any of them because of their high regard to cleanliness, location, accessibility, and simply by being home-away-from-home. However, comparable to the various lengths of our fingers, one among the branches of these premier hotels stands out because of its exceptional hospitality and warmest service. I’m so glad I was invited as a guest to experience a 2-night-full-board accommodation at PARK ROTANA at the heart of the capital emirate of UAE, Abu Dhabi.
WHY CONSIDER PARK ROTANA WHEN IN ABU DHABI
- As mentioned above, they offer the friendliest and warmest hospitality ever! Go figure!
- Located near Khalifa Park and Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. And it’s few minutes away from shopping malls, bus terminal, and Abu Dhabi International Airport.
- They offer shuttle bus services to Yas Island!
- Rates are reasonable and competitive compared to other hotels.
- Rooms are well-appointed, clean and spacious.
- Fully equipped with facilities like swimming pool, gym, spa, recreational areas for kids and restaurants to suit even those with most discriminatory taste.
From the invitation to series of follow up email-communication, I initially sensed that Park Rotana’s people are its edge over and above the other Rotana Hotels. And I could not help but compare because I felt I was so pampered. And that’s how special guests in hotels should feel. From Park Rotana’s E-Commerce Manager, Brian, to their Chef, wait staff and managers at Teatro, Ginger and Cooper’s, to the reception, Club Rotana lounge and housekeeping teams, everyone made me feel so relaxed, comfortable and so at home! They all deserve a raise, in my own honest opinion. And I’m not praising them because I stayed there on complimentary accommodation to review; nothing and no one could influence me, not before, not now, not ever.
If words aren’t enough to convince you to book a room at Park Rotana when you find yourself planning a trip to Abu Dhabi, allow me to invite you to scroll down and take a good glimpse at my photo-essay, detailing the highlights and features that made my short stay, sweet and tasteful!

Park Rotana’s 9th floor is devoted to Club Rotana rooms. Impressive, isn’t it?
A towel art plus a welcome note from Park Rotana Housekeeping Team. That’s so sweet!

Following an almost 2 hour-bus drive from my home base in Dubai, I arrived at Park Rotana Hotel a few hours after high noon on an empty stomach and was sleep-deprived because of my shift at work. Choosing whether to count sheep and to go right away to deep slumber, or to kill curiosity about Cooper’s Bar that offers great food and drinks on daytime, then transforms into a coolest chill-out place at night, I chose the latter to meet my cravings for much deserved late lunch.
COOPER’S BAR, PARK ROTANA, ABU DHABI
Opening Hours: 12:00 noon to 2:30 am (last order for main course 11:00 pm and bar bites 12:30 am)
Cooper’s Bar : Casual British bar and dining at day, coolest party place at night.
Italian red wine to celebrate the weekend! Cheers!
Calamari : One of Cooper’s must-sample appetizers!
Cooper’s Angus Rib Eye Steak : Cooked to perfection! Tasteful sans gravy!
Baked Alaska : Mango-Flavoured ice cream under layer of creamy meringue. Sublime!
After a great meal and wonderful time at Cooper’s, I went back to my room, took a quick shower and kept myself right under the sheets and dozed off.
Dinner on my first night at Park Rotana was savoured at one of Abu Dhabi’s award winning restaurants that offers quality Thai, Chinese, Japanese Sushi, Indian and Italian cuisines, however, diners could attest that they (including me, after the dinner!) love Japanese dishes from the rest of the offerings on the menu of Teatro.
Venetian masks framed in glasses, chic chandeliers and friendliest staff. Meals to die for. That’s how I remember my dinner at Teatro in Park Rotana.
TEATRO RESTAURANT, PARK ROTANA
Opening Hours: 6:00 pm to 1:00 am (last order 10:45 pm)
I highly recommend Teatro when you’re in Abu Dhabi. Best food, great service!
Prawn crackers with Thai sweet and spicy sauce. Perfect prelude!
I opted for Teatro’s famous sushi and sashimi combo platter. Absolutely fresh and delish!
Teatro’s Prawn Tempura’s also a must-try! Lightly battered and really good!
A Filipina wait staff recommended Downtown Tokyo : Vodka + sake fusion. Thumbs up!
Teatro’s Grilled Seafood Platter : Lobster, prawn, scallops, hammour. Best plate ever!
Chardonnay to wash down everything. Hallelujah!
Off-the-menu recommendation : Chocolate fondant! One word : Decadent!
It’s not me if without coffee. Shukran, Teatro!
Summer calls for a dip and Park Rotana is well equipped.
Because I was checked in at Club Rotana room, I was entitled to avail of breakfast buffet and cocktails prior dinner at Club Rotana Lounge. It’s very convenient as the lounge is located on the same floor where my room was. Breakfast spread was not overwhelming, however, satisfying!
BREAKFAST BUFFET AT CLUB ROTANA EXCLUSIVE LOUNGE
It felt like sleep-eat-sleep-eat-cycle at Park Rotana and I did not hate it! Time passed by so fast that after breakfast at around 9AM, I found myself ready to try the Friday Brunch at Ginger All Day Dining at 1PM!
Ginger restaurant was under renovation during the time of my stay at Park Rotana, therefore, all diners were led to its temporary home, Teatro. To make it simpler, Ginger All Day Dining and its staff were transferred temporarily to Teatro for that Friday Brunch Buffet. It was fun to experience a different set of menu and to be treated equally friendly by staff of Ginger.
FRIDAY BRUNCH BUFFET AT GINGER ALL DAY DINING
(physically relocated at Teatro due to renovation of Ginger Restaurant).
Free face painting for the kids.
Meet and greet and photo-ops with a mascot.
Plus a delectable buffet spread of International cuisine.
That’s Ginger All Day Dining Friday Brunch!
One of the best buffets I’ve tried in UAE!

Buffet may not be overwhelming however, superb and satisfying!

Slaying flatlay skills on these sushi and seafood spread! How visually appealing, isn’t it?
Park Rotana must have the best and the freshest suppliers of seafood! Really tastes good!
Ginger offers a wide variety of starters, entrees, drinks, desserts and kiddie treats!
On my table : Ginger’s cold and hot hors d’oeuvres.
I was in seafood-heaven!
Even Ginger’s mixed vegetable soup’s so tasteful!
And then Ginger offered Donald Duck to the kids and kids-at-heart!
And I will be forever be a child beside Donald Duck!
Let’s get down to business. My surf and turf plate from the spread.
It’s savoury regardless of the angle! I kid you not! 🙂
And then Ginger also has bite size of heavenly goodness!
Coffee takes the frame again.
BACK AT COOPER’S BAR FOR DINNER AND TO CHILL OUT.
Some beer, calamaris again and best ever nacho chips and dips ever!
Seafood linguini in cream sauce (you can opt for tomato sauce too). Big serving!
@gelothebear and I say, Massive Thank You to Park Rotana for inviting us!
Overall, I was content and happy with my entire staycation experience in Park Rotana in Abu Dhabi! I’m thankful that during my stay, at meal time in their restaurants, I was able to speak casually with their managers, chef and wait staff who all seemed genuinely warm and friendly. They were all consistent at their work. From my hassle-free check-in, until the staff handed me a takeaway breakfast box from Parkafe Lobby Lounge (contained fresh fruits, yoghurt, bottled orange juice and distilled water, Danish pastries, and a blueberry muffin) when I checked out at 5AM to make it to my work in Dubai at 8:30AM. I checked in eagerly at Park Rotana, and 2 nights after, I checked out early with my smile from ear-to-ear. I hope you could find time to experience the same hospitality and kindness from people of Park Rotana when you visit Abu Dhabi!
Thank you to Park Rotana Abu Dhabi!
