Grief came this afternoon to those who know Francis Magalona personally & for people who admire his craft as we heard the news of his death. He died at the age of 44 with leukemia, AML / Acute Myelogenous Leukemia to be specific but never lost hope as he battled with his condition without definitive treatment.
Sad as I google his multiply site, I read his blog that he wrote a couple of days prior to his 4th cycle of chemotherapy at the Medical City. I learned that he was supposed to undergo PBSCT / Peripheral Blood Stem Cell Transplantation this month.
This unpleasant news brought me to my senses that life is indeed short. That we have to take & battle whatever crossroads we are taking. That we should never lose hope for everything. Even if the endpoint is definite…
God rests his soul.

FYI, AML or Acute Myelogenous leukemia is a type of leukemia in which the patient’s blood cells specifically red blood cells or erythrocytes, white blood cells or leukocytes, and platelets or thrombocyte are all proliferated in the circulation however futile & cannot perform their functions because they are in immature or underdeveloped forms. Hence the patient is most prone to bleeding, anemia, respiratory & other systemic complications.
