Tied to ties

I like silk ties.  And I love wearing them.   I have a few of them in solid colors, mostly striped and in black & purplish hues.   This would give my friends idea of what to give me if they’re rushing to buy me a present for any reason and occasion.  LOL!   I wouldn’t mind receiving ties especially if brought from Marks & Spencer or Tieline, my favorite tie-shops.

I read the book a couple of years ago and now Dan Brown & Tom Hanks had collaborated again after Da Vinci Code in another gripping tale of twists and turns with Angels & Demons’ movie adaptation.  At this early I am so damn excited to see it.

Counting my blessings…

                                                391791701_bb149a7c85

I may have less than others but I thank the Lord for the daily blessings He gives me.  Waking up every morning alive with my LOVE ONES beside me and having another chance to prove myself worthy of existence are blessings indeed.

Mid East Calling…

Just like any father who will do everything for the sake of his family, I, too, will take opportunities and risks just to be financially stable.  God knows what efforts I exert to my job(s) but those aren’t enough to make our dreams tangible. It’s best that I have a supportive wife who dreams with me of working abroad.

She has an on-going application to US as a nurse as she patiently waits  for the tedious processing of her Visa screen after passing foreign exams as requirements.   On my part, I have been scanning pages of  classified ads religiously every Sunday for any foreign job vacancy where my credentials would fit.  Then came the chance to be interviewed for foreign employment as MD.

I’m happy with how I did with my job interview this morning with a representative of the best hospital in the Mid East.   The pleasant interviewer told me to expect an email (positive or negative) by the 2nd week of January 2009 that,  if  hired, comes with the job offer, contract and the how-to-go about the process which will be facilitated through a legit local agency.

I’m excited to learn and gain new experiences and to start saving for my family’s future.  If everything goes well, if GOD and the ENTIRE UNIVERSE allow it to happen, I will be working within this environment…

See the simple reasons and you’ll understand why I am so damn excited to fly to the middle of somewhere…

These photos are not photoshopped but actual pictures downloaded without permission from the hospital’s website;  Yup, you’re not having delusions or hallucinations, these are suites on that hospital which cater to most Saudi princesses, sheikhs, and other VIPs’ medical admissions.

Nothing is definite until I sign a contract and  have the visa inked or glued on my passport.

Until then, I’ll try to do best in what I’m doing now and be PATIENT in waiting for more of God’s grace….. sigh…

pacman vs golden boy

                                                  De La Hoya Pacquiau Boxing

“I trained for King Kong.  On Saturday night, we’ll see what happens.”  (Oscar de la Hoya referring to Manny Pacquiao as King Kong…)

Who’s your bet ? My cents go to the fact that Aling Dionisia, Pacman’s mom will surely recite rounds of rosary again the moment her son steps on the ring to meet the Golden Boy of boxing.

travel freak

Given a chance to win a lottery, without a doubt I’ll immediately spend a fraction of it to TRAVEL.  I religiously confess that I envy those people who were born of a wealthy family, who don’t need to move a muscle to have everything they want, particularly having the financial capacity to travel the globe as easy as a snap of a finger.

As I try my best to be happy and be grateful for whatever I have, and be productive during days of boredom and desperation, I found this interesting Yahoo advisory about traveling.   In a nutshell, here’s the list of 2008 Most Popular Cities as destination to explore and enjoy by those travel freaks :

1. LAS VEGAS.  (i’ve been there, back in 2000, stayed in MGM and Stardust)

2. NEW YORK.  (i want to ride those yellow cabs soon!)

3. CANCUN.  ( i want to taste some authentic mexican tacos & fajitas)

4.  SAN DIEGO, CA. (i’ve also been there, seen Shamu at SeaWorld once)

5. PARIS.  (MY ULITMATE DREAM CITY! i want to explore the Louvre, take endless breathtaking shots at the Eiffel tower,  enjoy the City of Lights by foot and fall in love with its culture and history would be my plan within the next few days, err years…)

6. HONOLULU. (never been to Hawaii)

7.  SAN FRANCISCO, CA. (i’ve been here as well and left my heart at the bridge, hehe..LOVE IT there!)

8. CHICAGO. (i can visit a friend and see Oprah perhaps, or the bulls…)

 9. CABO SAN LUCAS, MEXICO.

10. SAN JUAN, PUERTO RICO.

I’ve been to Auckland, New Zealand. Bangkok, Thailand. Hong Kong. Bendar Seri Begawan in Brunei Darrussalam. a stopover in Brisbane Australia. and enjoyed some parts of California and Las Vegas before.  But I’d still like to travel more and take photos of every monument and galleries and tourist spots and keep those travel memories in mind.

Reminiscing those travel moments I had with my family brings back good memories which are priceless.  Also confirms that I may have less this days but I have so many other blessings to be thankful of.

weakness

It’s a season to be happy and I’m not.   I’m not content with my life.  I understand that happiness should come from within and I know there are people who live their lives more miserable than I am but like them, I also get depressed, annoyed, frustrated.  All of these perhaps comes from my lack of patience with everything and my desperation to become financially stable.

Most people who do not personally know me might perceive that I am tougher than any person who can stand a bad weather. But I’m not. I’m so weak within.  I can’t handle uncertainties.

All I can do now instead of being suicidal is to hold on to my FAITH and ask for STRENGTH from HIM.
